Hello people! I woke up at 11:30-ish today. Vicki got a call from her mom telling her that she was gonna be picking her up at noon instead of 4:00, as was originally planned. Vicki got up and started packing more of her stuff. Brendan came by and chilled with us. I offered to help, but Vicki said she didn't need it. We waited til about 12:30, when Vicki's mom arrived. We all brought Vicki's stuff down to her mom's car and helped her load it all in. Then we ran over to Withey to turn in Vicki's keys. We went back to the car and said our goodbyes. It was depressing. Then I said goodbye to Brendan cuz HE had to leave, too. I went back upstairs to my dorm and started packing whilst watching TV. I got all my clothes packed and then it was nearing three, so I had to run off to work. I brought Strangers With Candy so I wouldn't get bored. I watched the first four episodes. I took a fifteen minute break to eat dinner - my very last meal here at Green Mountain. It consisted of pasta, a little cut-up chicken and some garlic bread. Twas decent, considering where I got it, but nowhere near as good as mom's. I went back downstairs to the security office and Brian joined me for about ten minutes. Then this girl came by who also works as a dispatcher for Campus Security. She wanted a shift. I told her I'd give her my second one, if she really wanted it (from 6:00-9:00). She said sure, she'd love it. So I got to go back to my room and Brian went back to his apartment. I've spent the past two hours packing and now my room is just about done. I've left out the necessities, of course, and my phone, TV and Christmas lights so this place isn't TOTALLY empty, but other than that, everything's done. I feel good. Hello people!

As mentioned in my previous post, I didn't get to bed til about 4:30 last night.

I woke up to my dreadful alarm at 9:00 this morning. I was so close to just saying, "fuck my Images exam" and going right back to bed, but I had to get up. I couldn't miss it. So I took my shower, got dressed and prepared for class. I left at 10:15 and got to class with five minutes to spare. Mark gave us a handout that had five questions on it, all of them asking things like, "Who was your favorite speaker?" That was our exam.

So easy. Then we went over to the library to learn how to do something on the school's database. It was stupid and boring and took fifteen minutes. We went back to the classroom to finish our exam. I handed mine in and said goodbye to Mark. He shook my hand and that was that. I walked over to the library cuz I wanted to print off my Lit Studies paper, but every single computer was taken. I decided to try The Gorge.

There's a computer lab there and I've heard that the printer is kickass. I went down there and - big surprise - all the computers were already taken. SO, I went back to Bogue and hopped on my computer for a bit. At 12:15, I asked Vicki if she wanted to come eat, but she said she felt sick. I got Jade and we went to lunch together. I had a salad. It was actually decent. I went back down to The Gorge and found a free computer!

I printed off my paper right quick and then ran over to Dunton, where Mitch's office was, to hand it in. Then I went back to Bogue, where Vicki informed me she wanted to go to lunch. I went with her and just sat with her while she ate. We stopped at the school book store next so I could return Jade's books for her (I had to go there anyway, so I offered). She only got $7.75 for four of them! O.O Glad I'm selling mine online!

I bought some candy for Vicki and myself cuz we were craving it. We went to the ATM machine next and I took out $20 (that's the minimum amount you can withdraw - how stupid is that?!). Vicki got it changed into tens in The Buttery, then came back and got one of the tens changed into quarters in the quarter machine, lol. We took all those quarters back to Bogue and did two loads of laundry; one each.

Total, it cost us five bucks. Not too shabby. We went back upstairs to chill while our clothes were in the machines and I wound up falling asleep for about two hours. Vicki ended up getting my clothes from the laundry room for me! <333 I woke up and folded my clothes and then we got dressed and went to dinner with Jen, Jade, Brian, Brad and Chris. I had a salami sandwich with mustard and potato chips.

Twas decent. Not the best meal ever, but better than usual. Everyone left us to go work on papers and study. Brendan joined me and Vicki for about half an hour, then we went down to The Gorge cuz Vicki had her own paper to print off. She did, then she had to go to her firefighter meeting. Brendan went back to his room to study and I went to work. Now, here I am, listening to music and being exhausted, lol.

The Vickster and Brendan will be coming back down here at 9:00 to hang out and watch a movie. I don't really care if anyone comes down here, I'm content with just listening to my awesome music. Ooh, guess what? I picked up an extra shift on Thursday, so my paycheck is gonna be AWESOME this time around. XD I'm excited. I've got one exam tomorrow, then I have to pack to go home. WHOOOOOOT! <3

Hello people!

I woke up at 11:30 today when mom called me.

We chatted a little and she said she was on her way up. I got up and got dressed. I got online for a while. Then Vicki got up and got dressed. Mom called me around 12:30 to let me know that she was here. I ran downstairs to let her in and she brought some boxes over for packing stuff up this week. Mom had brought Vicki's presents with her - they finally came to the house - so Vicki opened those.

We talked for a while and then the three of us went into Rutland to eat a late lunch at 1:00. It was snowing pretty hard here, but it was raining in Rutland. We went to Ninety-Nine and I had chicken fingers, as usual. We all shared a sundae, too. Yummy! <3 Mom drove us back and we said our goodbyes. I miss her so much already. I just wanna go home. *sigh* Anywho, we've just been watching TV since mom went home.

We watched Parental Control, one of my FAVORITE shows (title of this post is from it), Ace of Cakes, and License to Wed (that movie with Robin Williams and John Krasinski) was on USA, so we watched that. I fell asleep for half an hour or so and now we're watching Santa Baby: Christmas Maybe, the sequel to that Jenny McCarthy movie on ABC Family. I'm gonna take a shower pretty quick here, methinks.

Then we're all heading down to Withey at 11:00 for the midnight breakfast! :D WHOOT!

Damn a lot has happened since last time I posted. I got one of my grades in. I passed my Art class! Got a C! I'm so happy! I studied so damn hard!! I got a A on my big paper that really bumped my grade since her tests were so hard and she hated my project. >< But its over! Happily. My other grades should come in by tomorrow night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. ^^

I bought several things this last week that will prove to be very helpfull this next year. I got a digital reader and I've downloaded some books on it. Some of my school books can be put on it as well! Its exciting cause I wont have to carry heavy books! XDD You can also download manga! How cool! XDDDD I'm a nerd. XD

I leave for disney in a month today! I'm nervous as all hell! ><;;;;;;; I'm excited so it will be fun. I'm working on trying to get some friends to come over to see me while I'm in Florida. I get a couple of free tickets inside. ^^ I wanna go see the Magical World of Harry Potter, it opens in Florida right after I get there! I feel like such a geek. XDDD

I havent been able to work on any costumes. *sighs* I have to make three whole costumes in two weeks. the stress is going to kill me. I dont have the right patterns and I dont have the money to mess up anything so I have to wait till I can buy the right pattern. I dont know what the hell I'm doing right now. I just need a day where I can sleep and do nothing! ^^

I'm getting some new meds, I went back to the doctor on Wed, cause I've been on my period for almost two months. I've been going fucking insane. I'm a little scared on this new medicine. They are giving me lots and lots of Testosterone, now. I'm wondering what this is going to do to me....I mean I've already been through meno-pause. So my body thought it was between the age of 40-50 now we're going to make it think I'm supposed to be a boy? I dont know....its kinda funny though one of the warning things says not to be around anyone that smokes...or to smoke at all....what does it do? Make me combust or something?? XD

I got to see the Sound of Music at TUTS on wed with my best friend. I got to tell you it was amazing! I loved it! I'm so glad that we got to go see it together. I really do miss her. It was nice to be able to get caught up. I'm glad that she enjoyed her birthday gift from me. But she was cracking me up with Mr. von Trapps first name. She said that it sounded like they were saying Gay Lord instead of Georg. It was so funny! I'll never be able to see this name the same again. >:P

I speak English and super basic French. I can read French well enough but never got proper practise for speaking it aloud so, you know, I can't say I fluently speak it. xD; I also know some Japanese--enough to get me through most games or anime without subtitles or whatever, but I doubt it'd be very useful in any sort of real world situation. I can't complain though. Now that I'm out of my weeaboo phase, I've no real interest in Japan past their video game export. *shot*

I've got a long list of languages I'd like to learn but if I had to choose only one, it'd be Mandarin. I think it'd probably be the most useful one... but then, I also really don't want to have to learn that in a classroom setting since I wouldn't want to be marked on it. But I know if I didn't learn it in school, I'd never actually learn it so... yeah. I've made no progress there. :'(

Hello people!

I slept awful last night.

Well, not necessarily awful, but not to my liking; Vicki and I woke up at 4:00, both of us wide-awake. Vicki eventually fell back asleep, but I couldn't sleep anymore. I got my iPod and played some games I downloaded on it, then watched all my videos, then listened to some music. It sucked up time til 8:00, when I got up and got dressed. I ate my leftovers from last night for breakfast and hopped online.

I killed time and listened to the MGS soundtrack til about 9:00, when I got ready for class. Then I went to Images at 9:30. It was our last class! :D We talked about random stuff and blahblahblah it was boring. But I got my paper back (the one that had Twister and Jurassic Park references in it) and I got a B! :DDD I'm so freaking stoked, OMG. <3 I skipped Lit Studies cuz I didn't do my paper (I know, I know, bad me). :(

I feel bad, but I just didn't have the paper in me. Whatever. I went back to the dorm and laid down to chill but then I fell asleep for about an hour. I got up around noon and Vicki, Jade, Brian and I went to lunch. I wasn't hungry, so I just had a cup of Sprite. Then Vicki and I went with Brian to Rutland for a while. Brian had his PT to go to, then Vicki and I went to visit the recruiter dude. We just chatted for a bit then we went BACK to pick up Brian.

Traffic was INSANE, though. Some guy cut Vicki off and almost drove her into a ditch, then flipped her off! UGH, I hate other drivers, lol. We were a little late getting back to Brian because of that, which upset him cuz he had to get back to school to meet up with a friend so they could go see Wicked in Albany. We came back to school and went straight to dinner, where they had baked potates! OMG SO GOOD.

I made myself a panini sandwich, too, so I had an actual, full meal, lol. After dinner, we went back to the dorm and chilled for a while. Around 9:00, Chris and Jade came into our room to watch Star Wars (the sixth movie...what is it, Empire Strikes Back?). We watched that til about twenty minutes ago. A friend of Vicki's, Brendan, joined us. He's totally awesome and so funny! :D And now, here I am, writing this blog.

Sooooooo I'm exhausted. Time for bed.

lol oops it's been a while since I updated. Again. I can't even lie and say nothing exciting has happened. So point form!

→ I am home now! My classes ended last week and my three exams aren't until the 19th, 21st and 22nd, so I came home in between them. It's good to be home but I'm eating horribly because there is literally nothing that I can use to make lunch so I just... don't eat until dinner time. Oops. (Gotta ask someone to take me out grocery shopping so I can pick up SOMETHING for my lunches, orz.)

→ Got my H1N1 shot on Sunday. My arm finally stopped hurting yesterday. The needle itself was the easiest I've had in years (it was so small!!) but augh my arm was more sore than it usually is with needles afterwards. So glad it's finally (mostly) stopped bugging me.

→ Reunited with my ps3! ♥ D'aww I missed it. :3 I've started playing Enchanted Arms which is a horrible game so far. The English voice actors are pretty much horrible but I don't want to switch the voice track to Japanese because then I have to actually read the subtitles and I won't hear canon gay guy's horribly stereotypical voice anymore ahaha. 8( I'm playing through with morkula (he's playing his 360 version) and we're gonna try to keep up through the whole game and that might be the only thing that keeps me playing. That and the loli robot thing in my party. She is cute. :> I also downloaded the Katamari Forever demo and I love it. ;___; I wish I had access to the PS3 all the time so I could put this on my Christmas list but I don't want to ask for and get something that just won't get much playtime. *baaaw*

→ lmao my brother was supposed to get his report card about 3 weeks ago... and when he got the envelope "it was empty". My parents only found out about this the weekend before I came home and they're... pretty pissed off. So I don't even have to DO anything and I get special treatment as the "good" kid while I'm home. kick ass. I do feel a little bad for my brother, though. I don't buy his story for an instant, so that means his report card must be pretty damn awful if he went to such lengths to hide it. :'( He's gonna get in so much shit when my parents finally DO get to see it. I wonder if he'll even be allowed to play video games over the holidays. I hope so because I want him to finish Assassin's Creed II before I head back to school. ;_;

→ GLEEEEE. ;O; I was so pissed off last night 'cause mom was watching the season finale of Being Erica and I haven't watched any of this season so I said I'd keep out of the room but that I needed the TV at 9pm. This was around... 7:30? Unfortunately, when I came back at 20 to 9 already expecting to have to fight for the TV, she told me she'd missed last week's episode too and had to watch it, so she was only partway through the finale. ffffffffff. I ended up missing the first 5-8 minutes of Glee when I had to go downstairs and beg my dad to give up the other TV. I was so annoyed with her but oh well. She let me use the TV after she was done so I got to see MOST of it in glorious HD as it aired. That was pretty much the only time I saw an episode in any format other than streaming online. XD; It makes quite a difference, lmao! The episode was amaziiiing but I wish it had left off with more of a cliffhanger ahaha. I still can't wait for it to resume in... April is it? ........*sob*

I find it oddly appropriate that, after a day of miserable weather, of constant precipitation straddling the freezing border between snow and rain, when I walked home after my last class it had finally lightened to a soft sprinkle upon my skin, and while not pleasant it was considerably more tolerable.

Similarly, I feel as though my soul has lightened a bit. For most of the day, I was overwhelmed by a feeling of anxiety and despair. But after speaking with my professors, and being reassured that they understand my difficulties and are willing to offer their support, even so late in the semester... I feel a sense of relief, and a little more optimistic than I have in quite a while.

I am making progress. The fact that I am looking for support is progress. Before, despite the severe levels of my depression and anxiety, I was not able to bring myself to actively seek help from others, as if being unable to single-handedly solve all my own problems was a personal failure. But slowly, I've begun to learn that this is far from the case, and that all people, no matter how great or small, depend on others to survive. It is not a sign of weakness or idiocy, it is an emotional need.

(The sad thing is, I think I can name at least a dozen series I love that advocate this sort of idea, but which I guess I somehow failed to internalize. My infamous favorite Lunar 2 in particular jumps to mind, where believing in your allies and allowing them to assist you is considered to be the greatest power of humanity. Seriously, if there is a main theme to the game, this is it. I guess I am not the best fangirl ever.)

... anyway. Thank you, guys, for offering your love and support. I'm feeling a lot better now. I guess some days, it just needs to rain.

I wrote "IDIOT" on my hand in Sharpie and I don't entirely know why.

I stared at it for a minute or so after I did it, contemplating if something had flashed through my head like those who turn to self-mutilation to seek release. Except that a marker is far more cowardly than a knife, and the only thing that bleeds is the ink itself, soaking into the cracks of my skin as though it were being absorbed by cotton.

I've been getting better. I'm sure I have. But apparently I have not been improving quickly enough to deal with the situation I find myself in.

My therapist pointed something out to me that I had never taken notice of before: I hate it when people tell me I'm smart and talented and all that stuff that's supposed to reassure me and support my self esteem as I struggle with my education. It makes a knot form in my stomach and rather than making me feel more capable, it makes me feel more self-loathing for struggling with something that should be easy for me.

I shouldn't be awake all night and stressed about the semester ending. It should not be interfering with my life this much. I should be improving more. I shouldn't need to improve in the first place. This should be an easy process for me. I should be independent at this point and not need to rely on others for help and support and to remind me that I'm not a waste of human life.

So why am I staying up all night, tears down my face, trying to finish work that should have been done weeks ago, dreading the approach of daybreak?

Why can't I change? Are second chances just wasted on me?

Hello people!

I woke up to my alarm at 8:00 this morning.

I couldn't face my paper last night; I simply couldn't focus. So I got up early today to get it done. I was so worried that I wouldn't have enough time, even though I gave myself two and a half hours (I didn't have to get ready for class til 10:30). Boy, was I wrong to be so concerned. I finished my paper in an hour (a full six pages!), printed it off at the library and made copies of the lyrics for my project to hand out.

I forgot to tell you guys; we had to do a project for Brit Lit, too, and I made a video with a parodied carol about Twelfth Night. Actually, I might have mentioned this, but whatever. I recorded the video last night and it's up on YouTube, but guess what?

I killed time and got ready for class til 11:00, when I left for Lit Studies. We talked about our papers and what our topics are, etc. We were also assigned ANOTHER paper - our final exam paper - which is due Tuesday. I went upstairs after class and Vicki and I went to lunch. I had some cereal cuz I wasn't all that hungry. Then I went to Brit Lit. I was anxious about showing my video to everyone; I have stage fright.

I really hate performing in front of people - even if I'm technically not "performing" cuz it was already recorded - I feel like people are judging me really harshly. *shrugs* BUT, it went over very well and everyone loved my song so I felt really good when I was done with my presentation. I headed over to Bogue to put my computer away (I showed the video on my computer) and to get my binder for Images.

Then I went to Images, obviously, lol. We talked about cultural memories and how many times we've moved and times when we've gone back to a place where we used to live or something and it was changed and different from how we remember it. It was really fun and interesting! We were let out at 4:00 and I went back to Bogue til dinner time at 4:45. I had a pepperoni sandwich; twas decent.

We chilled for a while, til about 5:50, when Vicki and I went back to Bogue. We killed some time and then went to the gym to work out a little. I walked a mile, rode on a bike for ten-ish minutes and lifted some weights. It was not entirely terrible. I listened to Stephen Colbert's reading of "The Lie" to refresh myself on the story. I'm gonna do some reading tomorrow and work on my paper tomorrow night and Wednesday.

We went back to the dorm for a while, until Jen and Jade said they were gonna go outside to play in the snow - it's been snowing all day. SO. Vicki and I got dressed in appropriate clothing and went out to join the gals. Brian was out there, too. We threw snowballs and rolled around in the snow and sang Christmas carols. It was a blast. Then Jen and Jade went inside and Brian had to do a round (he's on duty tonight).

But Chris came out and joined us, so he, Vicki and I walked over to The Buttery to take a break and warm up. This bitch (who was a customer, NOT an employee) was like, "Wow, can you take that outside? Or somewhere where there's snow?" cuz we were shaking off snow on one of the carpets by the door. It was ON THE CARPET. That's what they're there for. And Vicki said, "Wow, thanks mom."

The bitch said, "You got something to say?" cuz she didn't hear Vicki, and Vicki said, "Yeah. THANKS, MOM." And the bitch shut up. SO FUNNY, OMG, lol. I wanted to see Vicki throw-down with the girl. It would've been awesome. But anywho, we sat there for a good ten minutes and then went over to Dunton to steal the wreath off their door. It now sits on our door (inside our room, of course). :D

Hello people!

IT SNOWED TODAY IT SNOWED TODAY IT FINALLY FUCKING SNOWED!!! <3 :D And it was gorgeous! *teary joy* Ahem.

I fell asleep last night without setting my sleep timer, turning off my computer or taking off my glasses cuz I was so exhausted.

It sucked. I hate when my nights are fuzzy like that. I woke up this morning and my necklace popped right off of my neck! It's on a chain and I never take it off, so I didn't expect that at all. I fixed it, but it freaked me out a little, lol. Dad got me up at 10:30 and I rushed downstairs to take a shower. Dad went to Panera to get lunch for me and mom. We didn't ask him to, he just did it to be nice! :D D'AWW. <3

Mom and I went out to her appointment as soon as dad came home. We were only there for about fifty minutes, which is much shorter than usual! We ate lunch in the car and went straight on home. I gave Nick an early Christmas present - two posters that came in the mail this past week. One of them was of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and one was of all the baddies (and a goodie or two) in Metal Gear Solid 4.

He loved them! And because I gave Nick a present, mom got in the mood to give me a present. I got the movie, Westworld, which was written by Michael Crichton and was the first film to use computer digitized images in a feature film (which came from his software company, FilmTrack). We decided to go back out after that, so we went to Barnes&Noble for a few hours. There was a magician there and he was AWESOME.

He kept coming up to us over the course of, like, two hours and just doing tricks. It was great. I love magic! :} <3 His name is Alan Edstrom, if you're interested. The store was also doing a scavenger hunt where questions were posted around the store about A Christmas Carol, so I did that. Twas fun! I flipped through a few books and found out that TWO new Splinter Cell books have come out already, so I need to get those.

Um, around 7:00, we went to Target. Dad needed to get some more Christmas lights, but mom and I looked at the clothes and I found five seriously awesome shirts for a total of $20! YAY FOR SALES! We bopped around for half an hour, then went to a late dinner at Ninety-Nine. I got a club sandwich; sooooooooooooooo yummy. And I've been craving it all day. MMM. Finally, we went on home and got there around 9:30.

We decided to watch Four Christmases. It was much better than I thought it would be. Reese Witherspoon is so cute. I just love her. Title of this post is from the movie. Anywho, now I gotta head to bed, SOOOOOOOOO. Night. ;]

Hello people!

I slept very well last night.

I didn't get up til 11:30; Jade kept knocking on my door. I would've slept longer if she hadn't have done that. I took a shower and got ready for the day. Then Jade and I went to lunch. I made myself a salami sandwich on an English muffin. SO DELICIOUS. I went on back to Bogue after that cuz I had no other plans for the day. I played The Sims for a while, then packed my stuff to go home. At 4:30, the gang and I went to dinner.

I didn't eat much cuz I wasn't hungry at all. We went back to Bogue and got ready for the bellydancing event that was tonight. I mentioned this earlier in the week, but yeah, basically, all the bellydancing classes performed tonight. I chose not to cuz I've just got, ya know, stage fright and stuff and I'm just not comfortable performing in front of people. So I manned the door for people to donate money and buy raffle tickets.

It was about two hours long and was pretty cool. I had a long skirt on (with jeans underneath, of course) and that make-shift scarf I made on Monday and Jen put peacock feathers in my hair, lol. Pretty awesome. At 9:00, I went to my extra shift at work and that's where I am right now. The fam is gonna pick me up at midnight tonight! They just randomly decided to come get me in the middle of the night, lol. XD

I just love my family. <3 Oh, title of this post is something Jen's dad said, then something Jen's brother said in reply. Her whole family came to watch her dance tonight. They're all very nice. :] Sooooo yeah, now I'm just killing time til midnight.
